Doug Alteen has been with Lumentum since 2015.
Alteen is a seasoned executive with over 35 years of experience in the optical communications industry. He is currently the General Manager of Lumentum’s Telecom Transport business unit.
Previously, Alteen was Vice President, Product Line Management for Optical Communications. He joined Lumentum from JDSU, where he led the Product Management and R&D teams responsible for the design and adoption of disruptive new optical products for top network equipment manufacturers. Alteen joined JDSU in 2003 as Director of Sales for Canada, where he led optical communications sales covering top-tier customers in the region.
Prior to JDSU, Alteen had a successful 18-year career at Nortel Networks, serving in several senior positions across Sales, Marketing, Engineering, Customer Operations, and Global Product Support.
Alteen holds a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from Memorial University of Newfoundland.
