Chris Coldren has been with Lumentum since 2015.
Coldren is an experienced leader with over 25 years of domain experience in the photonics industry. He leads Lumentum’s strategy development and strategic merger, acquisition, divestiture, and partnership processes, including helping the company enter new markets and optimize existing business lines.
Prior to his current role, Coldren also served as interim Chief Financial Officer and oversaw Corporate Marketing and Investor Relations.
Coldren joined JDSU in December 2005, where his responsibilities included Strategic Marketing, Business Development, and Technology Development for its optical communications transmission product lines.
Prior to JDSU, Coldren was Director of Technology and Business Development at Agility Communications, Inc., a leading tunable laser company. He began his career at SDL, Inc. as a research scientist where he developed advanced photonic technologies.
Coldren holds a PhD and Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering from Stanford University and a Bachelor’s degree in Physics from the University of California, Santa Barbara.
