Kim is a legal industry veteran with over 25 years of experience providing both in-house corporate counsel and client-facing legal services. He is responsible for leading Lumentum’s Legal department, including Corporate Affairs, Commercial Transactions, Trade Compliance, and Intellectual Property. Kim is also responsible for Facilities, Real Estate, and Security.
Prior to Lumentum, Kim served as Chief Administrative and Legal Officer at GlobalLogic Inc., a Hitachi Group Company. In this role, he oversaw all corporate legal matters, as well as Governance, Enterprise Risk Management and Insurance, Compliance, Facilities, and Employee Services. Prior to GlobalLogic, he was SVP and General Counsel at Rambus, Inc., responsible for all legal matters including Litigation, IP development, M&A, Corporate Governance, and Compliance.
Earlier in his career, Kim held senior legal roles at Altran/Aricent and Electronics for Imaging, Inc. He also served as an attorney for Wilson Sonsini Goodrich and Rosati, and as an attorney for the United States Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC).
Kim holds a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from Boston University and a Juris Doctor degree from the Washington College of Law at American University. He is a member of the California and New York State Bars.
